Young choir to perform
October 2011
Tees Valley Voices on a previous visit to the centre
A talented group of young singers is set to perform at The Wilton Centre.
Tees Valley Voices, a choir of local boys and girls aged between 7 and 14, is putting on a lunchtime concert in the centre's lecture theatre on Monday 19 December to raise money for Zoë's Place.
The event is also a way of saying thank you to its supporters including The Wilton Centre, which has just agreed to sponsor the choir for the second year running.
A varied programme of music is promised including the world premiere of one of the pieces that the choir is currently rehearsing from a children's opera which the young singers have helped to create with acclaimed local composer John Forsyth MBE.
All tenants are welcome to attend. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Contact Helpdesk on 438000 for further details.
