Ecom Instruments event a success
March 2010

ecom instruments staged a successful exhibition at The Wilton Centre, in association with the UK's leading ATEX Notified Body, Sira Certification.
The second in a series of one-day events giving delegates up-to-the-minute information on the issues affecting the Ex industry, it also provided them with access to leading industry experts in a wide range of Ex fields.
The event in the exhibition area, which was aimed at Health & Safety Managers and Electrical Engineers working in 'hazardous areas', was attended by more than eighty delegates from a variety of industries, with companies such as Conoco Phillips, Sanofi Aventis, Northumbrian Water and Sabic represented.
The seminars offered an opportunity to hear the current legislative issues facing Ex industries, plus the chance to attend an accredited training course covering Hazardous Area principles.
Adam Garner, Marketing Co-ordinator for Sira, said: "As changes to legislation that effect the Ex industry can occur frequently, it’s important that those working or involved with 'hazardous areas' are kept abreast of these changes, and continue to have the latest knowledge with respect to ATEX & DSEAR.
"The facilities at The Wilton Centre provided an excellent opportunity for ecom and Sira to inform those working in the North East and surrounding areas of their regulatory responsibilities."
Following the success of the roadshows, ecom instruments and Sira Certification intend to hold similar events in South Wales and Great Yarmouth before returning to The Wilton Centre at the end of the year.
