Recruitment company TechConsult UK, which is based at The Wilton Centre, has marked its fifth birthday with continued expansion into new markets.

The company recruits personnel for the offshore, fabrication and maintenance, process, shipbuilding, and civil engineering industries.

Since the company's incorporation, it has placed almost 250 contractors into positions locally and internationally and recently placed its 100th permanent worker with Darlington-based firm CTC Marine.

TechConsult UK works with some of the world's biggest names and has been expanding into the international marketplace with continued European placements into France, Norway and Holland, as well as in Angola in South-Central Africa and into Asia, including Malaysia. The company is also about to start recruiting into China for a German client.

Managing Director Steve Guest said: "These are exciting times for the company. We can clearly see many sectors emerging from the recent recession and our success at finding placements for people reflects the confidence that is emerging.

"Our expansion into global markets is very important for us as well, not least because British skills are prized across the planet. Our experience has proved that UK workers are much in demand and our increasing move into foreign markets has been made easier by the reputation that British workers enjoy."

TechConsult UK at The Wilton Centre operation is part of the Norwegian-based TechConsult Group, whose offices are in Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger, Norway. For more information, contact 01642 456300,
