Helping out
The Centre's Christmas initiative to donate presents to charity was again a success with residents giving 61 presents, which went to help Eva Women’s Aid, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of women and children affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse. Ann Sherwood also organised an initiative whereby Centre administrative staff donated money instead of sending Christmas cards. The initiative, coupled with a donation from a resident, meant that the Zoe's Place hospice and the Middlesbrough-based MS Therapy Centre, each received £241.
