Aer Lingus has recently launched a new service to Dublin from Durham Tees Valley Airport

Durham Tees Valley Airport has launched new routes designed to help business people working in the area.

One of the developments is expanding links to China. KLM already operates three times a day, seven days a week, from Durham Tees Valley Airport to Amsterdam offering onward connections.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched a scheduled service between Amsterdam and Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport in China on May 8.
The airline is the first to offer a direct service between Europe and Hangzhou, one of the most important destinations in China.

With this sixth scheduled service to China, KLM now offers 36 weekly services to this growing market.

Together with its partner China Southern Airlines, KLM offers passengers services to Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong and now Hangzhou.

The airport also has a new service to Dublin, part of a major expansion programme resulting from a franchise deal between Aer Lingus and Aer Arann.
