Around the Centre - Blood donors
The National Blood Service ran a session for the first time at the Wilton Centre in April with more than 30 donors taking part. It is hoped to make this a regular event.
Around the Centre - New database
An Incidents and Injuries Database has been created and uploaded onto the Wilton Centre website. It is comprised of injuries and incidents that have occurred in the Centre since 2000 and any personal references or company names have been removed.
Around the Centre - Voice and Data Services
The landlord supplied voice and data service is now fully operational. A voice over data telephone service, and up to 100 Mbps data service with a choice of bandwidths is available. Contact Steve Duffield on 01642 438012 for further details.
Around the Centre - Building Refurbishments
The refurbishment to the Gents toilet and locker room in TDA South laboratory is complete. Work is in progress on Main Reception, N, H and D Block Stairwells and the picnic tables at the rear of the restaurant. The Reception area refurbishment includes the installation of automatic sliding doors to aid access and a 60-inch display screen to replace the existing tenant board. The screen will have a varied content but will include all building tenants’ names and logos and news updates.
Around the Centre - Road and Path Repairs
Sections of road and pathway surfaces around the centre are being re-surfaced including the pathways at the side of the lake, to the rear of the restaurant and at the visitor car park and access roads at the west side of the building, plus the road adjacent to the Development Building and the TDA north west access road.
