Companies announce link-up on projects

Project specialist Stopford has brought in engineering recruitment company TechConsult UK to provide skilled professionals to work on major contracts both in the UK and abroad.
Both companies have bases at The Wilton Centre and one of the Stopford contracts involves an energy plant in Sri Lanka.
Stopford, which was formed in 1982, has its headquarters in Cheshire and offices in Ellesmere Port, Luton and Lancaster.
The company offers engineering design and project management services ranging from conceptual process analysis through to design and build.
With a client base including Shell, Total, AstraZeneca, Lilley GE and Anglo American, the company works in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and energy sectors.
Techconsult UK has a large database of skilled workers which it provides for projects all over the world. They include engineers, technicians, project managers and administration personnel.
Its managing director Steve Guest said: “We have long seen the sense in working with companies on our own doorstep and the fact that we are both based in The Wilton Centre helps us work even closer together.
“The sectors in which Stopford is involved are ones in which we have a speciality and we are helping them to find the kind of people who can bring value to their projects. It is an exciting link-up.”
Stopford managing director Prith Rajendran said: “The projects on which we are engaged required skilled personnel, which is why we approached TechConsult UK for assistance.
“TechConsult UK will help us in the provision of engineering personnel on a number of our projects both national and international, including in the Middle East.
“We are currently involved in two large projects for bioethanol addition on all UK terminals for BP and Chevron. We are also involved in a 40MW municipal waste-to-energy plant in Sri Lanka . These are the kinds of projects for which we required skilled personnel.”
