New Wilton Centre tenant, recruitment consultancy Techconsult UK Ltd, is creating job opportunities for Tees Valley workers.
The company provides resources to international engineering and construction clients in petrochemicals, oil and gas, fabrication and maintenance, process, shipbuilding and civil engineering.
Since it set up at the Wilton Centre in August last year, the business, operated by recruitment expert Steve Guest, has found roles for more than 35 Tees Valley engineering personnel in the UK and abroad. It currently has 50 contract engineers working on oil and gas sites throughout Norway for Norwegian client Hydro Production Partners.
Steve said: “Because of the closure of a number of major local employers, there is a skilled workforce here with world-renowned engineering capabilities, willing to travel that little bit further for good employment prospects.”
The Wilton Centre office is the first of a number of UK branches planned by the Techconsult Group, whose head office is in Bergen, Norway.
Steve said: “The Wilton Centre was a natural choice and central to many major blue-chip companies.”
