Cellspace targets the green revolution

April 2007

Recently-arrived tenant Cellspace Energy Systems Ltd is seeking to help big companies improve their environmental performance.

The company has already secured contracts with key clients, supported by Department of Trade and Industry funding, to assess their energy performance.

Managing Director John Thompson said the company was doing studies for McDonalds, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Mosscare Housing Association.

He said that Cellspace would be able to advise each company on the changes needed to reduce their carbon footprint.

Cellspace will be offering clients a range of renewables options, including solar, wind energy and fuel cells.

Mr Thompson said: “There is a niche for companies seeking to help big firms clean up their act. There are also big incentives for companies cleaning up their energy.

"That can include financial incentives for companies awarded a Renewable Energy Certification (ROC), which Cellspace can help them secure."
